For aspiring dancers with a passion for excellence, Ballet de Catalunya offers a program tailored to your dreams. Centered around excellence and professionalism, our program equips you with the experience needed to seize extraordinary opportunities, such as becoming a member of the esteemed Ballet de Catalunya. This is your pathway to transforming your talent into a professional dance career.
In the evolving world of ballet, many young companies and studio programs have been established to train graduates to the professional level required to join a ballet company. Often, these entities keep their trainees apart from their main companies, only occasionally allowing them to share the stage with seasoned professionals.
At Ballet de Catalunya (BNC), we’ve taken a distinctively different approach, particularly with our Trainee II program. It is fully integrated into the main company and operates under the vigilant supervision of BNC’s artistic director. We believe in immersing our Trainee II participants in the company’s daily life, providing them with firsthand experience and understanding of the responsibilities and realities of a professional dancer. They engage with company members, choreographers, ballet masters, and the director, in a professional environment six days a week, which is vital for their growth and professional development.
In contrast, our Trainee I program is only partially dependent on the main company. While they also benefit from high-quality training and exposure, their integration with the company is more selective, offering a gradual introduction to the professional world of ballet.

Our artistic director is highly skilled to apply a personalized work to our Trainees in the company classes.
Our professionals speak: spanish, catalan, english, italian and french.
What a better way to achieve professionality than performing with the main company.
Trainees have the opportunity to work with the guest choreographers for new creations.
In some occasions Trainees are called to perform solos in the company performances.
Ballet de Catalunya aims to prioritize our Trainees for corps de ballet roles in the 2024/2025 season, valuing their dedication and growth within our program.
