Why here

4 reasons to train with us

We are the only Catalan school integrated into a professional dance company with dancers from all over the world.

01

A door into the company

Being inside a professional dance company gives the student the chance to join it as a professional once their studies are complete, and to stay in continuous contact with the professional world.

02

Faculty of the first rank

Students train with some of the best teachers in Catalonia and with guest teachers from international schools, and take part in workshops taught by the company's dancers.

03

On stage from the first year

Every student performs in the end-of-year show at the Auditori de Terrassa. When cast, students also appear in productions such as The Nutcracker.

04

75% of classes in English

Three quarters of our classes are taught in English by native English-speaking teachers, so students pick up the international vocabulary of the studio while they train.

Why ballet

The benefits of ballet

Did you know that ballet is an all-round discipline that not only improves physical development but also strengthens mental, emotional, social and academic wellbeing? Here is a summary of its benefits in each of those areas.

Ballet offers a complete physical training that strengthens muscles, improves posture and increases flexibility and coordination.

Muscular strength
Through movements such as pliés and turns, ballet strengthens the legs, the core and the back, improving stability and toning the muscles.
Flexibility
Range of movement increases through dynamic and static stretching, which prevents injury and improves overall physical performance.
Coordination and balance
Precise positions and movements improve the coordination between mind and body, developing a balance that is essential both in dance and in everyday activity.
Cardiovascular condition
Fast movements and intense sequences make ballet an aerobic exercise that improves cardiovascular endurance.
Postural correction
Ballet promotes correct posture, which prevents back pain and other postural problems in the long term.
Endurance
Constant practice improves the physical capacity for sustained effort.
