DATES - ELIGIBILITY - REQUIREMENTS & Admission

Dates

July 6 – July 25, 2026

Eligibility

Students aged 10-20 years old on 31 August 2026

Requirements

All applicants must complete the online pre-registration form and pay a non-refundable €45 pre-registration fee, which covers the administrative processing of applications and any third-party software charges, and they must also submit the required materials—photographs for level-based group placement in the Non-Selective options (A, B, C), or a video link (max. 10 minutes, variation or ballet class) for Artistic Team review in the Selective options (D, E).

*All students and trainees currently enrolled at the Ballet de Catalunya School are exempt from this requirement.

Admission

Selective Programs (Options D and E — Program + Gala)

Our Selective Programs are designed for dancers seeking an elevated, performance-focused experience, including participation in the Gala. To ensure the best artistic and level match, entry to these options is confirmed through an Artistic Team review.

To be considered, candidates must submit:

  • One video link (maximum 10 minutes) featuring either:

    • a classical variation, or

    • a ballet class

How the selection works:

  • All submissions are reviewed by the Artistic Team.

  • If the candidate is accepted, they may register for Option D or Option E (depending on dates and availability).

  • If the candidate is not accepted for the Selective Program, they will receive a response from our team with clear guidance and a direct pathway to register for an appropriate Non-Selective Program option (A, B, or C), based on dates and level.

Non-Selective Programs (Options A, B and C)

Our Non-Selective Programs offer an open, high-quality intensive experience with no pre-selection required. Candidates can participate without an acceptance decision by the Artistic Team.

What we need from candidates:

  • The required photos/materials requested in the application

These materials are used to:

  • assess the candidate’s general training level, and

  • place the candidate in the most suitable group for their level

Important: Photos/materials are used for placement only, not for admission.

Quick Submission Guide
  • Options D & E (Selective): Video link required (variation or ballet class, max 10 minutes). If not accepted, the candidate will receive a response with the recommended Non-Selective option(s) and instructions to register.

  • Options A, B & C (Non-Selective): No selection required; photos/materials are requested only for level-based group placement.

SUMMER INTENSIVE SHOWCASE/Gala

Inspired by the IBStage concept, our July 2025 Summer Intensive concluded with a dedicated student showcase (Gala) on July 25th, giving participants the opportunity to present their progress and achievements in a professional performance setting. Only Level A and B students who attended the final two weeks of the intensive were eligible to take part in the final performance.

The showcase was presented in a gala format, offering students a unique chance to share the stage in an inspiring, high-level environment. In our July 2025 edition, students performed excerpts from La Bayadère, with the participation of Ballet de Catalunya soloists Ellen Mäkelä and Paolo Calò, and also presented contemporary and modern pieces created and coached by our faculty especially for the group. The result was a highly professional, supportive, and uplifting experience for everyone involved.

ATTENTION
Options D and E are designed to offer the possibility of a Gala/Showcase experience as part of the program concept. However, the Gala/Showcase is a separate, non-guaranteed activity and is not included in the program tuition (even though “Gala/Showcase” appears in the option name).

Whether the Gala/Showcase can take place depends on practical factors such as venue/theatre availability, number of participants, production and technical requirements, and overall logistics. If it goes ahead, it may be presented either in a theatre or, if the organisation determines, at Ballet de Catalunya’s studios.

By registering, all candidates acknowledge that the Gala/Showcase is subject to confirmation and may not take place; therefore, it cannot be considered an included paid service, and no claims, refunds, or fee reductions will apply if it is ultimately not held.

Tickets and the gala program will be published on this page.
