This Season at Ballet de Catalunya

From trainee to Company Soloist in a single season.

When an injury left the company without its Kitri days before the premiere, Barbara Almeida stepped in. With less than a week to prepare, she delivered a flawless debut in Don Quixote — and was promoted to Company Soloist live on stage.

The Trainee Program gave me more than technique. It gave me a home, a family, and the platform to become the dancer I dreamed of being.
