Program Overview and Objectives

This internship program is designed to offer professional and pre-professional dancers from Japan and South Korea the opportunity to gain real professional experience by joining the corps de ballet of Ballet de Catalunya.

Interns will take part in the company’s daily ballet classes, rehearsals, and performances, fully immersing themselves in the daily life of a professional ballet company.

The program is also intended for dancers who may currently be in between engagements, allowing them to stay artistically and physically prepared for future opportunities. While the main focus is on stage experience, participation in performances depends on the internal casting and calendar of the company, and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Who Can Apply

• Citizens of Japan or South Korea

• Professional or pre-professional dancers with strong classical technique

Program Structure

Duration: 3 months
Available Terms:

• Option A: September 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025

• Option B: January 1, 2026 – March 31, 2026

• Option C: March 1, 2026 – May 29, 2026

Places per Term: Maximum of 5 dancers per period
Contract Type: Training Contract (Contrato de Formación)

Program Fees

This is a tuition-based program. If accepted, the following fees must be paid:

• Total Fee: €3,950, which includes:

  • Registration Fee

  • International Participation Fee

• Not included:

  • Health Insurance (mandatory): €225

Accommodation

Accommodation may be available in one of the company’s shared apartments, subject to availability.

Visa Requirements

No special visa is required. Participants may attend the program with a 90-day tourist visa, provided they do not exceed the legal stay limit in the Schengen Area.

Admission Process

Admission is by video audition only.

When completing the application form:

• Under “For which term are you applying?”, please select one of the following:

  • 3 Months Internship Option A (Only Japan and South Korea)

  • 3 Months Internship Option B (Only Japan and South Korea)

  • 3 Months Internship Option C (Only Japan and South Korea)

• Under “Type of Audition”, please select:
  “Internship 3 Months Program (Only Japan & South Korea)”

A Barre and center exercises or a classical variation (pointe for women.)
