Ballet de Catalunya – Autumn/Winter 2025–2026

We are thrilled to unveil the first half of the 2025–2026 season at Ballet de Catalunya—a season bursting with artistic vitality, over 20 performances, and two major tours: one national and one international. Get ready for a powerful start to a season that promises to enchant, innovate, and connect.
A Season of Premieres and Traditions
From September 2025 to January 2026, the company’s autumn-winter season will deliver a rich blend of timeless classics and bold new ventures.
As tradition dictates, the holiday season will once again shine with our beloved production of The Nutcracker, a seasonal must-see for audiences of all ages.
We will also continue touring with two key ballets from our current repertoire:
- Juliet and Romeo, choreographed by Elias Garcia
- Don Quixote, choreographed by Elias Garcia and Larissa Lezhnina
These iconic works remain cornerstones of our identity and will reach new audiences across the country.
Inaugural Season Opening Galas
A landmark initiative this year is the launch of our Season Opening Galas, curated by our new Artistic Director Leo Sorribes. These galas will become an annual tradition celebrating the beginning of each season.
Hosted at the Teatre Principal de Terrassa, the galas will feature:
- Excerpts from the company’s signature repertoire
- New works by guest choreographers
- Performances by guest stars from around the world
The event will conclude with an exclusive dinner, envisioned as a meeting point between the company and our esteemed donors, reinforcing our commitment to building a strong and lasting cultural community around Ballet de Catalunya.
International Milestone: The Liceu Debut
A historic first: Ballet de Catalunya will officially debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona’s famed opera house, as part of its 2025–2026 season.
Our participation will center around the Grand Dance Galas, curated by Leo Sorribes, with performances including Fast Avance and dazzling appearances by some of the greatest ballet stars of our time:
